This morning, I spoke with DOT Secretary Elaine Chao who she informed me that Lexington is being awarded a nearly $25 million grant that will transform rail and bus travel in the barbeque capital of the world. After advocating on behalf of Lexington, I am proud we could secure these funds to construct a rail and bus station in Lexington's Depot District and make much-needed improvements downtown.

Tillis, Colleagues Probe Extensive Criminal History of Illegal Immigrant Charged with Deaths of Four Police Motorcycle Club Members

Following Push by Tillis and Colleagues, USDA Provides Flexibility for School Meals
Senator Tillis applauded the USDA for providing flexibility to schools and sponsoring organizations for school meals and child nutrition. Earlier this month, Senator Tillis and his colleagues sent a letter to U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue urging the department to provide an extension of waivers to allow the Summer Food Service Program and the Seamless Summer Options.
