Dr. Li Wenliang heroically tried to warn Chinese citizens about COVID-19, only to be silenced by the authoritarian Chinese Communist Party until his tragic death. The Chinese government must be held accountable so no other nation feels emboldened to cover-up a public health crisis that can turn into a global pandemic. Senators Thom Tillis, Chuck Grassley, and John Cornyn sent a letter to Chief Justice John Roberts requesting that he direct the Judicial Conference of the United States to amend Rule 9 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure to bring reason and fairness to the ballooning litigation under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Burr, Tillis Call on Gov. Cooper to Help N.C. Small Businesses Struggling to Find New Hires
Governor Cooper needs to acknowledge the existence of a problem and take action to fix it. While the governor recently announced he will finally start reinstating the job search requirement, that’s merely enforcing existing law. It’s not enough. The governor should immediately end expanded federal unemployment insurance and focus on incentives to encourage more people to return to the workforce, as nearly half of states already have.
