WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Thom Tillis announced his office assisted more than 13,000 North Carolinians with casework in 2023. Senator Tillis’ office assisted North Carolinians with a wide variety of constituent services covering numerous federal agencies including: Passports, Immigration, Veterans/Military, Social Security/Medicare and the IRS.

In 2023, Senator Tillis’ office returned $145,000 per day in IRS refunds to North Carolina taxpayers totaling more than $50 million in total IRS refunds. His office also assisted more than 7,000 North Carolinians with passports, making trips for family emergencies, weddings, funerals, and more.

“One of the most important responsibilities for a member of Congress is helping constituents cut the red tape when they’re having issues with a federal agency,” said Senator Tillis. “I am proud of the work my office has accomplished this year on behalf of our constituents, and we continue to stand ready to serve any North Carolinian in need of assistance.”
