WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, U.S. Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC) and John Boozman (R-AR), Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee, hosted a farm bill listening session in Smithfield to hear concerns directly from North Carolina farmers as Congress works to write the 2023 Farm Bill.

“Farmers in North Carolina and across the country are facing unprecedented challenges, and yesterday’s listening session was an opportunity to directly hear from them about the issues they are facing as we work to craft the 2023 Farm Bill,” said Senator Tillis. “I want to thank my colleague Senator Boozman for making the trip to North Carolina to hear from North Carolina farmers. I will continue to advocate on their behalf in Washington so they can put food on the table for families across North Carolina and the country.”
