WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), co-chairs of the Senate NATO Observer Group, released a joint bipartisan statement ahead of tomorrow’s NATO summit:

“As President Biden meets with world leaders tomorrow, America will convey our enduring commitment to the partnership that’s ensured our global security for more than seven decades: the NATO alliance. The United States will reassure our allies that the transatlantic alliance is here to stay, and we can be counted on as a partner and global leader. The West faces serious, complex global threats – from the renewed aggression from Russia toward our Eastern European partners and allies, to expansionist ambitions from China which threaten to undermine our global order. When we work in unison to respond to shared global threats, the message is unambiguous and the impact is longstanding. As co-chairs of the NATO Observer Group, we are committed to maintaining strong bipartisan support to the alliance.”
