WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) issued the following statement on the trilateral trade agreement between the United States, Mexico, and Canada:
“I applaud the Trump Administration on reaching an agreement with Mexico and Canada to replace the outdated NAFTA and ensure our alliances with our neighbors remain strong. Agriculture is the number one industry in North Carolina, and it is vital we provide certainty to the industry and the millions of jobs the U.S. agricultural industry it supports. This agreement is a step in the right direction for North Carolina’s farmers, businesses, workers, and consumers, and I look forward to reviewing the details in the coming weeks.”
