WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC), member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement on the confirmation of Christopher Wray to be Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation:

“Throughout the nomination process, Christopher Wray has demonstrated that he will lead the FBI with independence and ensure a healthy separation between the agency and officials on Capitol Hill and in the White House,” said Senator Tillis. “The FBI is often regarded as the world’s best law enforcement agency, and I am confident Director Wray will maintain that proud reputation and pursue justice no matter the circumstances."
