Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) applauded the Senate Armed Services Committee for advancing the nomination of his Senior Advisor Robert Wilkie to serve as Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. Senator Tillis introduced Mr. Wilkie at his nomination hearing last week.
“There is no person more qualified for the position of Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness and cares so deeply about improving the well-being of our men and women in uniform and their families,” said Senator Tillis. “I applaud the Senate Armed Services Committee for quickly advancing Robert’s nomination so he can be considered by the full Senate, and I hope he will be voted on soon so he can begin working on behalf of our servicemembers.”
