Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) issued the following statement in response to President Trump’s executive order directing federal agencies to “ease the burden” of Obamacare:
“I’m pleased that one of President Trump’s first acts in office will give agencies flexibility to alleviate Obamacare’s costly burden on hardworking Americans as Congress works to repeal and replace the law.
“I’ve heard far too many heartbreaking stories from North Carolina families who have struggled to afford Obamacare’s skyrocketing premiums, with some even being forced to forgo health insurance for the first time in their lives. I look forward to working with the administration and my colleagues to implement patient-centered health care reforms that will better control costs and give individuals, families, and employers more choices.”
