WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) issued the following statement in response to ISIS’ terrorist attack in Dhaka, Bangladesh:

“I pray for the safety of the people of Bangladesh, as well as the tourists and diplomats who appear to be among the targets of ISIS’ attack in Dhaka, only a mile away from the American embassy.

“With horrific acts of terror being carried out in Turkey and Bangladesh in the span of a week, radical Islamic terrorists are sending a message that they seek to kill innocent lives in Muslim-majority countries, in addition to bringing their violence to the United States and Europe. Jihadi-inspired attacks are occurring in every corner of the globe, and it’s clear that the time is long overdue for a decisive strategy to annihilate radical Islamic terrorists and their ability to carry out and inspire attacks.”
