WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) issued the following statement in response to the terrorist attack on the Istanbul Ataturk Airport in Turkey:

“My heart goes out to the people of Turkey following the horrific terrorist attack in Istanbul. This attack is a reminder that ISIS is a death cult that seeks to murder anyone—including Muslims—who refuses to accept their radical, dystopian interpretation of Islam. It is also reminder that the world is in desperate need of a coherent strategy to annihilate ISIS in the Middle East and diminish their capability to both inspire and directly perpetrate attacks against the United States and our allies.”
