Today, Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Richard Burr (R-NC) welcomed Pastor Chris Justice of Lee Park Church in Monroe, North Carolina to the Senate. Senators Tillis and Burr invited Pastor Justice to deliver the U.S Senate Opening Prayer.

“I want to welcome Pastor Chris Justice and his lovely wife who came here to this great Capitol this morning,” said Senator Tillis. “I have been out to Lee Park Church, and what struck me most is how much the congregation loves Pastor Chris and the Justice family. You have done a great job out in Monroe, we thank you for your service to the great citizens of the state, and we thank you for your service to this great body today.”

“It was a privilege to welcome Pastor Chris Justice from Lee Park Church in Monroe, North Carolina to Washington today and to attend his opening prayer before the Senate this morning,” said Senator Burr. “Pastor Chris has touched the lives of many in North Carolina first as a news anchor in Charlotte and now and a pastor in Monroe. I’m pleased to have been present for his blessing today and I thank him for reminding my colleagues and me to appeal to God to make our paths straight.”
