Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) issued the following statement after the Senate passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) in a 91-3 vote:
“Once again, the Senate came together in a broad bipartisan fashion to pass the NDAA, which includes an amendment to help save the 440th Airlift Wing at Pope Airfield. The Senate also sent an unequivocal message to President Obama that transferring terrorists from Guantanamo Bay to the United States is not only unacceptable, but prohibited by law. The President should stop playing political games with our military and national security and sign the NDAA into law.”
